Loaded chilli fries are the ultimate comfort food that are perfect for any occasion. This hearty dish combines crispy fries with a savoury and spicy chilli that is sure to satisfy any craving. The chilli is made with a combination of ground beef, onion, bell pepper and flavourful spices, giving it a rich and complex flavour profile.
One of the best things about loaded chilli fries is how customizable they are. You can adjust the level of spiciness to your liking by adding more or less chili powder, and you can also add additional toppings such as salsa or sour cream. Whether you’re enjoying this dish as a main course or as a side dish to share with friends, loaded chilli fries are sure to be a hit.

Loaded Chilli Cheese Fries

Step 1
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
Step 2
Wash and cut the potatoes into thin fries.
Step 3
Spread the fries out on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Step 4
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until golden and crispy.
Step 5
While the fries are baking, make the chilli. Heat up the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the onion and bell pepper, sauté for a few minutes then add the ground beef. Cook until browned and no longer pink, breaking up the meat with a spatula as it cooks.
Step 6
Add the salt, pepper, smoked paprika, chili flakes and tomato paste to the skillet. Stir until the spices are evenly distributed.
Step 7
Add the cream cheese to the skillet and stir until melted and fully combined with the beef mixture.
Step 8
Once the fries are done, remove them from the oven and transfer them to an oven safe dish or tray.
Step 9
Spoon the chilli on top of the fries, spreading it out evenly.
Step 10
Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the chilli.
Step 11
Place the dish back in the oven for a few minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Step 12
Top the loaded fries with sliced jalapeño, diced avocado, chopped green onion and or cilantro, and a squeeze of lime juice.

Serve immediately and enjoy!
