Winter in Toronto can be very cold and very dark, which makes many of us inclined to hibernate and stay indoors whenever we're going out for a bite to eat. But El Catrin, a popular Mexican restaurant in the Distillery District, is here to change that with an interesting proposition.
They're offering a 4-course brunch for $36, but here's where it gets exciting; if you can finish the entire meal OUTSIDE on their beautiful, fire-heated patio, you get 50% off. That's less than $20 for an entire four-course brunch! It seems like a pretty good deal if you can bear the cold long enough to fork down four dishes and maybe a few (warm) drinks. So get out your winter coat, a scarf and maybe some mittens and head to El Catrin for their #WinterBrunchChallenge. Their warm cinnamon churros alone are enough of a reason to check this spot out and take part in the challenge.
This challenge is their way of celebrating the Toronto Light Festival that's taking place in the Distillery District and runs every weekend in the month of February.
The best part is for every person who takes part in the challenge, they'll provide a meal to youth in need, win or lose. Head over to 18 Tank House Lane, any Saturday or Sunday before March 1st, 2020 to take part in this challenge and support a good cause!
