Voilà by Sobeys has announced an exclusive partnership with one of Toronto's most esteemed restaurant brands, Oliver & Bonacini Hospitality (O&B). Classic O&B dishes will now be available on Voilà by Sobeys for customers all over the GTA, with meals being prepared by chefs in Farm Boy test kitchens.
Starting this week, O&B's popular Artisan Chicken Pot Pie, Bannock's Tourtière, Leña's Piri Piri Chicken and Maison Selby's French Onion Soup will be available through the Voilà by Sobeys grocery delivery platform -- which launched earlier last year in June 2020.
All of the dishes are precooked and frozen in ready-to-heat packaging. Customers will be able to add these O&B dishes in addition to their grocery lists from Sobeys and Farm Boy. Voilà by Sobeys, O&B and Farm Boy plan to expand the partnership and meal options -- such as meal kits over time to bring more variety.

"The last year has been the most challenging period the restaurant industry has ever faced and motivated our team to innovate and pivot in ways we had never before imagined," said Andrew Oliver, President and CEO of Oliver & Bonacini Hospitality in a news release.
It took about 18 months to execute this partnership, and due to the pandemic, the launch was sped up as everyone was eating at home more often. Additionally, O&B felt it was ideal to use the commissary kitchens at the Farm Boy grocery stores because they have been under-utilized due to COVID-19 measures. Preparing foods in buffet style is not possible now; therefore, using commissary kitchens was their best bet to launch this exclusive partnership with Sobeys and Farm Boy.

This partnership offering is currently only available in the GTA and orders are made online through the Voilà by Sobeys website.
