Founded by Amanda Bradley (formerly of Alo and George) and Robin Goodfellow (formerly of Bar Raval), VELA offers escape in the form of modernized classics and five-star service.
The team’s newest addition, a 7-course tasting menu, is as spectacular as it’s à la carte offerings. Developed by chef Kim Haugen and chef Marvin Palomo, the new menu offers guests the ultimate VELA dining experience. Each dish is inspired by Toronto’s diversity, as well as the changing seasons, with some of VELA’s greatest hits appearing alongside off-menu surprises. "We would sell out of specials every night,” says the team. “So we figured we could begin to offer tasting menus. Most of our team has a lot of experience offering tasting menus so we thought this was a great direction.”
Offered nightly alongside the regular menu, VELA’s tasting menu will change frequently, with fresh seafood, house-made pasta and grilled proteins making an appearance in thoroughly creative ways.
