Two of Toronto’s most popular restaurants have grown weary of the lockdown restrictions and have decided to halt operations temporarily. SARA and RASA, owned by The Food Dudes, have made the tough decision to pause all operations at both of their establishments due to the recently announced restrictions in Ontario.
When the announcement was made that indoor dining was not resuming and that outdoor dining was being prohibited again, the restaurants decided they would give their staff a well-deserved break for the next 28 days. They will not be offering takeout or delivery options, so patrons will have to wait four weeks until they can order from these establishments again.
They shared the news via their social media and highlighted the need to avoid any mental or physical strain put onto the staff while also making mention of their support for helping to lower transmission and save lives. The frustration stems from the recently announced restrictions placed on restaurants throughout the province. SARA and RASA are just two of the thousands of businesses impacted by the closures and unclear messaging from the Ontario government.
