Two Popular Toronto restaurants are collaborating for Chinese New Year

Popular restaurant Momofuku is creating their first Chinese New Year feast for takeout. With a collaboration between chef Eva Chin of Momofuku's upper-level restaurant Kojin and chef Anna Chen of Bloordale Village restaurant Alma, the duo will create an eight-course menu with inspirations from generations of Chinese Canadians and personal memories of home.

The feast will consist of eight separate dishes that symbolize happiness and prosperity, including traditional dishes like steamed buns, roast duck, whole fish, sweets and more. Their roast duck is stuffed with shiitake mushrooms, chestnuts, goji berries and dried scallops, glazed in Shaoxing wine. Fried Whole BC Rockfish is dredged and fried twice and glazed in a black olive braising sauce and fresh herbs. You can order for a party of 2 ($168) or 4 ($336).

You can also add some extra dishes like rice cakes or black sesame shortbreads in addition to the eight courses. There is also a selection of cocktails and sommelier-selected wines that you can add at an additional cost.

Starting January 21, you can pre-order for pickup on February 10-13 and February 17-20 from 5 to 9 p.m. You can place an order through Ambassador, Resy or directly through the restaurant via email or phone call.
