The Hummussiah was Toronto's first fast-casual restaurant dedicated solely to hummus and it's expanding. After slowly becoming a staple in the crowds near Ryerson University, they just opened their second location right in the heart of Kensington Market, inside Asian fusion restaurant and bar Supermarket.
They specialize in warm hummus bowls served with various toppings and proteins. They make the hummus from scratch in house. After it's been cooked and blended, it goes straight to your plate to avoid refrigeration. They top it with anything from chuck stew to chicken shawarma to falafel. They also do a variety of other items like rice plates, pitas and salads.

The community has embraced them and they are even using their platforms and social media presence to collaborate and shout out neighbouring Kensington Market spots.
Be sure to check them out as they're open every day except Tuesday, from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. You can order via Uber Eats, Ritual, SkipTheDishes, DoorDash and Foodora.
