Although the highly anticipated Christmas Market has been cancelled this year, that doesn't mean all of our favourite holiday traditions have to be.
You can still enjoy the Grand Christmas Tree in Trinity Square, the twinkling starlit canopies and festive carols throughout The Distillery District at their new Winter Village experience.
The new Winter Village, a collaborative effort between Toronto historic Distillery District and Pure Spirits Oyster Bar, will feature 13 outdoor chalets equipped with a full service bar and a menu with comfort food favourites and Canadian classics. You can also browse and shop all of your favourite local shops, galleries and restaurants the District has to offer.
The Distillery District officially marked the start of the holiday season and their Winter Village with the lighting of the Grand Tree last night. The majestic 44-foot Balsam fir, adorned with 60,800 lights, thousands of shiny ornaments and 1,463 metres of gold garland, will remain lit each night until January 10, 2021.
While the outdoor chalets are set to open late November and will be available by online reservation-only, the Winter Village is now open until March 31, 2021.
Grab one of Balzac's warm holiday drinks, and enjoy the lights and open-air this holiday season at Toronto's all new Winter Village because it won't be here for long.
