Donuts are definitely a sweet way to connect with your favourite neighbours, with everyone feeling socially isolated from their family and friends due to the pandemic. When checking out with your box of donuts, you can opt for sending donuts to your neighbour––all you have to do is provide their address and add a greeting card if you'd like. The neighbour you have chosen must be within 2 kilometres of your own address.
On their website, it says, "Free hugs are not compatible with social distancing or stay-at-home orders, but free donuts are!"
The Box Donut was well known for its square donuts when they initially started inside Yorkdale mall. Now rebranded as Donut Hive, they have created hexagonal donuts crafted with Callebaut Belgian Chocolate and new unique flavours every month. They have a variety of flavours like 'Cookie Cream' -- a donut stuffed with Lotus Biscoff Cookie Butter, Matcha KitKat donut and Blueberry Cheesecake.
