Toronto just got a new smoked meat sandwich joint, Fiz & Bob's, serving up 100% halal pulled chicken and beef sandwiches.
The menu features their signature pulled whole chicken and slow-smoked pulled beef sandwiches served on a golden, pillowy brioche bun with their homemade ghost pepper aioli, sautéed onions and cheddar cheese. Both meats are marinated with Fiz & Bob's signature 17-spice dry rub and slow-smoked for 7-8 hours. All recipes are curated using premium ingredients and fine-tuned over the last 10 years.
Fiz & Bob was created by couple of 28 years, Fizza and Baba Rizvi, who have spent a lifetime experimenting with recipes and cooking techniques in the company of friends and family.
"When COVID-19 hit... we realized that although we could no longer physically enjoy meals with our loved ones, we could still connect with people by sharing our passion for cooking on a much larger scale with the creation of Fiz & Bob, a true labour of love," says the couple in an Instagram post.
Sandwiches are sold by the half-dozen ($25) or dozen ($40) and can be ordered online. Cash payments and email transfers are accepted. The new pop-up is available for pickup near Bayview and Major Mackenzie or for delivery to Richmond Hill, Vaughn, Markham and Toronto for an additional fee.
