Chef Victor Barry, the renowned talent behind Victory Burger, Piano Piano Restaurant and Café Cancan, is back at it again with his latest venture––pizza.
Victory Pizza is Barry's second virtual business under the Victory title, this time serving up Sicilian-style pies. Sicilian pizzas are rectangular in shape and are native to the region of Sicily, Italy. Barry uses a mix of traditional and foreign toppings to craft seven interesting pizza options to choose from.
Customers can grab a simple pie like the Marinara or the Cheese Louise, both priced at $34. Also on the menu are witty twists on classic pizzas, like the Wowie Maui ($39), which is Barry's take on the controversial Hawaiian pizza.
For the vegetarians, the Holy Shitaki ($39) offers a pie with roasted shitaki and cremini mushrooms, sherry onions and whipped ricotta. The Perfect Pear ($39) is a funky pie with a hint of sweetness that uses blue cheese, Bosc pears and hot honey.
The menu also features two fresh salads as well as another new addition to the Victory lineup––the Victory Nuggets––which are breaded boneless chicken thighs tossed in either a hot honey and Tajin or Buffalo wing sauce.
His first title Victory Burger, which opened its virtual doors in late November, is centred around his coveted smash burger. Soon after, Barry introduced a new menu with his pizza lineup.
Barry's pizza business will be available for pick-up and delivery through Tock, a rising reservation service that has pivoted into takeout and delivery.
Victory Pizza, like its burger affiliate, is operating out of Piano Piano Restaurant at 88 Harbord Street. They are open from Wednesday through Sunday from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
