While many annual festivals in Toronto have been canceled due to the pandemic, one in particular is making a comeback––the Toronto Caribbean Carnival (TCC).
The festival has officially partnered with Street Eats Night Market to produce Carnival Weekend's Grand Finale from July 30 to August 1 at their Scarborough location. This event will be different from the usual food truck vendors you see at the Street Eats Market––there will be local Caribbean food vendors and cultural entertainment featuring Toronto's top DJs, live dancers, masqueraders, Caribbean steel pan music and Calypso.
In partnership with TCC, the local Caribbean food vendors will have the opportunity to share their favourite dishes. They will also feature a Carib Beer Tent by Carib Beer Canada to elevate the Carnival vibe. Some vendors to look out for will be 6 Spice Rack, Beignet Shoppe, House of Drum Pan, KJ'S Jerk, Mob Seafood, Mr. Clutch Wings and The Mighty Cob.
Outside of food, there will also be mini market of cultural craft vendors such as Cubed Style, Fete Tings, Holy Raw, Unforgivingly Pur and Yawdi's.
General admission is free however, you'll need to grab tickets online as they are limited. The link for tickets are available through Eventbrite and there will be free parking available. Event schedule is available here for each day.
