One of Toronto's best fried chicken sandwich spots has found a new home.
Tokyo Hot Fried Chicken, a beloved fried chicken joint, has just moved to the live event venue, Come See Me, in Little Italy. They will be taking over the massive new kitchen to help keep up with the demand for some of the best hot chicken in town.
"Super excited to partner up with Come See Me and to bring my food up here to the Little Italy neighbourhood." said Jordan Harasinski, the owner of Tokyo Hot, who made the move due to the much larger kitchen and dining space.
At their new location, there is a 60-seat patio that is ready to accommodate once outdoor dining is allowed again. That massive patio space can accompany up to 100 people if restrictions continue to lift. Once permitted, the space at Come See Me will offer a larger space for indoor dining as well.
All of their popular menu items will still be slung out of this new spot. The Tokyo Hot Fried Chicken sandwich continues to be the star of the show, incorporating influences of Nashville-style hot chicken with a touch of Japanese flavours. It consists of Karaage style chicken, deep fried and topped with sesame sauce, spicy and wasabi mayo, ginger slaw, pickles, and green onions.
They also have a classic Nashville hot chicken sandwich and a vegetarian version using jackfruit as well. Besides sandwiches, you can always grab some wings, takoyakis, poutines and rice boxes too.
They will also be involved in a partnership with Come See Me to provide beverage packages for sale as well. Specials will be offered throughout the summer time for both food and drink.
Tokyo Hot is now located at 656 College Street in Little Italy. During their soft opening this weekend, they will be open from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. and will be open until 11 p.m. starting next week. Once restrictions lift, they will be hoping to stay open until last call.
