This Toronto store sells fresh food and imported Taiwanese products

MAELI Market has opened in Toronto, specializing in Taiwanese products and freshly-prepared food.

The term ‘maeli’ translates to the “most beautiful, strong, graceful and joyful,” the Taiwanese market explained on their Instagram. The store boasts a selection of goods imported from Taiwan and fresh foods that are made in-house.

Customers can pick up delicious foreign products that can amp up any meal with savoury Taiwan flavours––fermented black beans are a staple in Taiwanese cooking and can be found in their pantry section.

MAELI also sells a series of amazing bento boxes that are made fresh and to-order using local ingredients––all packaged together using sustainable materials. Also on the menu is a series of handcrafted onigiri, which is a perfect snack to pick up on the go.

The store features a modern design that feels like a boutique shop. MAELI Market is open every day and located in North York at 18 William Sylvester Drive.
