This Saturday pop-up offers local baked goods and sweets

There’s a new baked goods pop-up in Toronto happening every Saturday. Sweet Saturdays, from the team at Mess Hall, is a weekly pop-up showcasing gourmet baked goods from local independent chefs and bakers across the city. Owners Gaby Flores and Libby Brewer-Dulac wanted to create a space where these bakers could get their product out in a cost-effective and safe manner.

Through Sweet Saturdays, you’ll be able to find items like gourmet brownies, cookies, grazing boxes, butter tarts, alfajores, cakes, homemade jams, power bites, chocolates and more. They run specials every week and have walk-in specials as well.

“Our dream has always been to have a co-working kitchen filled with like-minded small business owners who work together and support one another. Building that community has been difficult because we are not able to gather, but this is a way of bringing our collective strengths together as one, until we can work together in the kitchen again,” says Brewer-Dulac and Flores.

The pop-up is located street side at the Mess Hall every Saturday, starting this past weekend. You can find the Mess Hall at 1386 Gerrard St East, Unit 4, inside the Locus Big Kids. The pop-up runs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and is only available for curbside pickup right now. Be sure to pre-order early to avoid any disappointment.
