One of Toronto's favourite taco joints, Campechano, just opened a new location on College Street near Bathurst. The original location on Adelaide is a no-fuss Mexican restaurant doing tacos, guac, ceviche, dessert and drinks. The new location maintains a similar menu and concept but in a much larger space than their original.
Like the original location, the menu here is simple. Patrons can start with an order of guac or ceviche as an appetizer. The taco menu is the most extensive offering. They have about eight fillings that include favourites like al pastor, chorizo and their rendition of fish tacos with a beer battered haddock.
They also cycle through some special offerings from time to time. They've had tacos that included fried shrimp, oaxaquena (spicy cured pork) and lamb. They have the perfect libations to enjoy alongside tacos on the patio as well. Serving agave-focused cocktails -- like margaritas and mezcalitas.
The second location for Campechano is located at 460 College Street. Reservations for the new location are now open for dine-in and patio through Resy. Be sure to check out the new spot while the weather is still nice out!
