Before summer comes to a close, you can still squeeze in some hot weather celebrations at a new pop-up patio that has graced Parkdale, in the former backyard space of Cadillac Lounge.
The folks behind Camp 4 Bar and Paris Paris opened up The Caddi a couple of weeks ago, offering Torontonians a sparkly patio space to enjoy drinks and snacks with friends. The space will be familiar to many, as it's located in what used to be the popular back patio of Cadillac Lounge at Queen and Dufferin. It has now been freshened up to welcome guests into a hip and lively spot, complete with colourful murals, a massive projector for sports games and movies and enough room to seat late-night crowds at a safe distance.
The food is designed to be handheld, eliminating the use of cutlery and simplifying the eating experience. Melty cheeseburgers, spicy barbecue shrimp, succulent short ribs and a few Mexican-inspired snacks are ready to be enjoyed alongside tall cans of cold beer and fuss-free cocktails. On weekends, the space invites guest chefs to whip up their specialties, so look out for delicious weekly instalments from your favourite restaurants across the city.
If you're looking for a new outdoor space to spend your last month (or hopefully more!) of summer, head on over to this impressively upgraded spot for tasty snacks, icy beverages and an overall good vibe. They're open from 4 p.m. - 2 a.m. daily, so you have plenty of time to soak up this backyard hotspot with a few pals.
