Served Co., a Mississauga-based catering company, has reimagined their catering services to suit current COVID-related restrictions. The Punjabi street food-style caterer has taken the menu created for weddings and repurposed the offerings into DIY kits to enjoy at home.
With the repercussions COVID-19 has had on local businesses -- especially amongst the wedding industry -- this company has taken a unique approach to bringing its flavours to homes across the GTA.
Their newest offering is a 'Desi Brunch Box' featuring classic dishes any Punjabi family would have on a Sunday morning. The brunch box includes chaat papri, pakore (vegetable/fish fritters), a parantha (potato, carrot or cauliflower), rasmalai for dessert (mango or pistachio) and a variety of fresh chutneys and achaars. Everything is pre-packaged, COVID friendly and extremely flavourful.
Served Co. is a local family-run business founded by a first generation mother-daughter-duo, Anjali and Monika; the company has taken an experience-based approach to Indian food like no other. Pre-COVID, this business thrived on its unique approach to catering. They brought the authentic Indian street food experience right to people’s venues across the GTA with their colourful carts and live and interactive service.
Indian street food is a staple in the Indian culture that many people from the community miss. Served Co. beautifully depicts this cultural tradition at weddings and events across the GTA. They offered live cooking stations with foods like Pav Bhaji, Gole Gappe, Tandoori Tacos and Jalebi. People like Raptors Superfan -- Nav Bhatia and Jagmeet Singh have indulged in Served Co.'s authentic and delicious food.
For now, they're offering their Brunch Boxes (starting at $20) and a Meal Subscription Service. Customers can easily place orders on their website -- same-day delivery options are also available.
