Calling all salad lovers - this takeout salad spot will be your new lunchtime obsession.
Forest Hill Farmhouse has opened its first ghost location in Leslieville, at 1130 Queen St. E.
Salads are available for pickup or delivery only at this location every day from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. This means that the location is not open for dine-in, as it is quite simply just a kitchen inside.
Customers seeking a fresh salad or bowl in the east end can now place an order for pickup or delivery from the Forest Hill Farmhouse website, or via DoorDash, Uber Eats or Ritual, or by scanning the QR code on the door at the new space.
Forest Hill Farmhouse opened its full-service location at 2 Lola Road, just off of the Yonge Street strip, in December 2022.
Founder Blair Bitove says that opening a ghost location in Leslieville comes from the success of the restaurant's flagship location.
"We have received an overwhelmingly positive response to our salads and bowls and our online ordering continues to grow," says Bitove. "We decided to open a ghost kitchen to continue to serve our salads and bowls to new customers!"
With even more plans for expansion in the works already, Bitove notes: "We have another ghost kitchen coming to Parkdale in August to keep up with the demand."
The delectable menu at Forest Hill Farmhouse includes curated salads, bowls and a build-your-own option.
The signature Forest Hill salad features roasted chicken with a selection of fresh veggies like romaine, red onion and Kalamata olives topped with a balsamic vinaigrette, while the Dunloe Date salad explores ingredients like dates, roasted corn, toasted almonds and cornbread croutons, and the Spadina Spring Roll salad incorporates watermelon radish, mint, and vermicelli noodles.
Bowls include Miso Salmon, Shawarma Chicken, and Roasted Vegetable Falafel, and new featured items include the Tarlton Tuna and the Coulson Cobb. Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages are also available.
