Thindi opens up a new location by Kensington Market

Thindi is the love child of business and life partners Abhilash and Anuja, who moved to our bustling city in 2018. They both bring interesting backgrounds to the table, Anuja as a brand and marketing specialist who loves to spend time in the kitchen, and Abhilash, who is a technology consultant and trained dish taster.

They started creating variations of their Maggi noodles (a famous night snack in India, which they're now famous for) along with other Indian street food specialties -- and after years spent falling in love with and indulging in food, they decided to share their dishes with all of us. On the menu you'll find grilled cheese sandwiches layered with pineapple or smothered with Nutella, and favourites like the Mumbai sandwich -- an Indian take on our classic club. Everything they serve screams comfort, and is packed with flavour.

The goal is to not just appeal to those familiar with Indian street food, but to break outside of the mould and appeal to a new group of individuals.

After taking time resting from the market, participating in food festivals and setting up a ghost kitchen to fulfill deliveries, they've opened up in the World Food Market at Yonge and Gould. And now, they're thrilled to announce that they've opened up a larger cafe with a larger menu to match at 400 College Street, right near Kensington. So be sure to check them out and try one of their delightful dishes -- you won't regret it!
