Holt Renfrew has officially re-opened its restaurant on the mezzanine level of its Bloor Street location in Toronto. The Holts Café was originally closed down to eventually be revealed as 'Colette Grand Café' however, the team decided to revert back to the original name in early January before the grand opening on January 22nd. Similar to other Holt Renfrew Café upgrades, the Chase Hospitality Group will be the operator of this stunning location.
Chase Hospitality is at the helm of some of Toronto's favourites, like Kasa Moto, The Chase and the ever-growing Planta family. With their expertise and vision, the new menu is a contemporary take on European favourites including but not limited to: fresh oysters, cornmeal cod bites, steak frites and not to mention the Bloor Street crowd-pleasers -- avocado on toast, truffle fries and a beet root salad. However, the hospitality group will likely continue to evolve the menu as they become more attuned to the palates of the regular customers.
The open-concept restaurant has opted for a modern French vibe -- with expansive 20-foot floor to ceiling windows, the natural light encapsulates the entire place. The café is separated from the retail floor by an open brass bar wall and features a large bar. The space seats up to 145 guests, with a private dining room perfect for an intimate gathering.
The Holts Café is open every day from 10 am onwards.
