Donna's, an unfussy restaurant serving classic fare, recently revealed that its latest creation, The Golden Peacock, is almost ready to open.
The new bar will be looking to serve its patrons some tasty drinks and snacks out of its location on Dundas West. If it's anything like its parent restaurant, people can expect a lot of classic cocktails, beer and liquor at quite affordable prices.
Not sure if you'll be free on the days the bar is open? Fret not, because The Golden Peacock is slated to be open seven days a week, from 5 p.m. to midnight Sundays through Thursdays and from 5 p.m. to 2 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
Donna's was started by three Momofuku alums, so the pedigree of the food was never in question at the joint. As an offshoot of the existing restaurant, it shouldn't be too big of a leap to assume similar quality at The Golden Peacock as well. Although not verified, it is safe to believe that there would be a focus on serving local products, whether it be food or drink, to the patrons — just like at Donna's.
Not a whole lot has been revealed regarding the interiors or the menu yet, but if Donna's Instagram is to be believed, the opening date for The Golden Peacock should be just around the corner.
The Golden Peacock will reside at 2102 Dundas St. W. and will be open seven days a week. For more information, visit the bar's website and/or Instagram page.
