The Food Dudes launch delivery only Middle Eastern kitchen

The team behind Sara, Rasa and Blondies Pizza have expanded their empire with LafLaf, a Middle Eastern ghost kitchen offering delivery and catering services.

Nestled at the back door parking lot of 265 Davenport Road, the predominately residential and industrial location seems like a perfect spot to keep rent prices manageable without being too far outside the downtown core.

Vegetarian and vegan-friendly customers can create their own LafLaf bowl starting with a base of hummus, pickles and garlic tahini or pick from their pre-made selection of custom bowls.

The Sabich Bowl.

The custom bowls are made with a base of Mujadara -- a classic Arabic recipe featuring black lentils, long grain basmati rice, caramelized onions and herbs. The Sabich bowl -- a veggie fanatics heaven -- is also topped with hummus, a soft boiled egg, stewed tomato, eggplant, pickled turnip, garlic tahini and green chili sauce.

Fresh Labneh with stewed tomatoes and sumac.

For those who prefer having a selection of small bites, the Mezze section of the menu allows for mixing and matching of house-made dips, bread and falafels. Roasted eggplant, fresh labneh with sumac and their classic hummus can be paired with pita bread or whole wheat Egyptian Balati bread (a traditional style of flatbread).

Following The Food Dudes' green initiatives, all take-out packaging is compostable and eco-friendly. Check them out on UberEats, SkipTheDishes or Foodee.
