Summer House at Hotel X is your new destination for an escape from city life without actually having to leave Toronto. Launched in collaboration between a trio of hospitality industry leaders Harlo Entertainment, Honeycomb Hospitality and Food Dudes, Summer House is transforming the hotel's three-level rooftop patio into a space that will make you feel like you're dining in the Hamptons.
Setting up five different zones covering a whopping 75,000 square footage, guests can look forward to experiencing brand new menus, interactive entertainment, outdoor fitness classes or just enjoy the warm weather amongst updated decor that aids the space in maintaining its luxurious feel.
In addition to carefully crafted menus at their restaurants Prime Grill and The Peak with fun summer cocktails, weekly culinary offerings are also taking place. This includes a reimagined afternoon tea experience featuring sliders and margaritas and rosé all day Thursdays.
In particular, regarding the menus, these are being revamped by Owner & Executive Chef of Food Dudes, Adrian Niman.
"We've developed dishes that reflect summer dining habits and cravings," commented Niman, "Guests will enjoy a variety of steaks, seafood bites and vegan dishes and we're excited to introduce adult ice cream, which reconceives dessert, marrying your favourite cocktail flavours into a cool, refreshing summer treat."
The idea behind Summer House is to take advantage of the ample space Hotel X brings to the lakeshore that oversees brilliant views of the city's skyline and turn it into the ultimate getaway for Torontonians.
"We wanted to create a desirable escape within the city we love, as it comes back to life," commented Matthew 'Matty' Tsoumaris, Founder of Honeycomb Hospitality. "We have taken over Hotel X's iconic three-level rooftop bar, restaurant and lounge to create a staycation summer hub."
In addition to culinary offerings, a Sunday Sunset Series backed by a live DJ on long weekends will also be happening, as will outdoor daily fitness classes led by Spinco and Saturday yoga headed by Solis Movement in collaboration with 10XTO.
Summer House will be running at Hotel X until the fall and reservations can be made via reservations@summerhouse.to. Be sure to follow this pop-up on Instagram to keep an eye on all they're offering.
