Street Eats launches a new (and permanent) outdoor food market

Although this year has looked quite different in terms of the outdoor food markets that we typically see in warmer months, Street Eats Market has made it a priority to offer safe, fun and tasty pop-ups at Scarborough Town Centre in recent months. From Caribbean cuisine to ice cream and mac n' cheese festivals, they've provided a well-rounded scope of food markets over the course of the summer, and now they've announced the official launch of their first permanent outdoor market.

Opening this Saturday, Street Eats will host several delicious vendors as part of their permanent fixture at Hillcrest Mall in Richmond Hill, open seven days a week. Munch on double-fried chicken tacos and award-winning mac n' cheese from The Basil Box, or authentic, Miami-style Cuban food from The Cuban Thing. There will also be Lebanese bites via Food From East, Latin American food courtesy of El Bosco, BBQ trucks and many more vendors that have yet to be announced.

Due to the current COVID-19 precautions in place, Street Eats ensures that safety is a top priority while providing an enjoyable and memorable outdoor market experience. They have added a convenient curbside pickup service, allowing visitors to park in numbered spots, choose their food from online menus and call the vendors to order. Meals will be delivered directly to them, with no need for guests to even get out of their cars. They are still allowing for walk-ups as well, but strict social distancing measures will be enforced, along with floor markers, sanitizing stations at every vendor and mandatory PPE requirements.

The Hillcrest Street Eats Market will be open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. every day of the week. Follow along on their website and Instagram for updates, stay tuned for an event schedule and some special giveaways that will be announced for their opening weekend this Saturday and Sunday.
