Step up your home-cooking with Alma's new sauce selection

Coming out of 2020, the new year has continued to surprise us. What looked like a fun, new start to the decade quickly took major turns with the pandemic and changed many of our routines––one of which, of course, is dining in.

For many, cooking from home lacked the fun and excitement that we get from dining out. Often we felt uninspired to develop new flavours, test their culinary limits, or simply get comfortable making dishes at home. Some restaurants though, like Bloorcourt gem Alma, have developed services and product lines to help us combat our cooking fatigue.

Chef Anna Chen of Alma realized that just because you're cooking in your own kitchen doesn't mean you have to deprive yourself of wonderful flavours. With that in mind, she started jarring pantry sauces for customers to take their meals to the next level––keeping all of the delight and removing all of the anxiety of making things delicious in your own kitchen.

All of the four sauces are vegan-friendly and full of flavour. You can purchase the fiery chilli, the ginger scallion, a rich hoisin or a savoury miso mustard – three of which are featured in dishes on the Alma menu.

Not only is this a valuable gift to customers looking to step up their home-cooking, but one that's great for the restaurant itself. Like many restaurants that have struggled throughout the pandemic, it serves as a chance to bring their food to hungry patrons, all while creating an additional revenue stream.

We've all seen some of our favourite restaurants affected by COVID and the results of the restrictions it imposes––sometimes even having to close down as a result. So, next time you're feeling stuck in the kitchen, looking for a change, or even a gift for a friend, check out the Alma sauces. They are available through their traditional delivery service.

And while you're at it...maybe stock up on some of their frozen dishes too.
