Smash burgers are coming to the west end this weekend

One of chef Victor Barry's latest ventures, Victory Burger, is making its way to Mimico this weekend for all of our west end folk.

Victory Burger, a new smash burger concept operating out of chef Victor Barry's mainstay restaurant Piano Piano, will be popping up this weekend at the Cheese Boutique's signature food truck, located at 6 Ripley Avenue.

Chef Barry will be slinging burgers this Saturday, February 13 and Sunday, February 14, from 11 a.m. until they sell out. On the menu, you'll find the Double Victory Burger ($14) consisting of two 4oz patties, pickles, onions, American cheddar, ketchup and mayo, Fries ($4), sodas or you can make it a combo for $20.

Victory Burger, which launched back in December, was an offshoot of the famed burger previously available on Café Cancan's menu. Chef Barry had been tweaking the burger for nearly 10 years and finally felt the time was right to showcase the burger as a standalone concept, especially considering the smash burger craze dominating Toronto's food scene.

Chef Barry has also introduced another ghost kitchen operating out of Piano Piano called Victory Pizza, which features Sicilian-style square pies.

Victory Burger is available for pickup from both Piano Piano locations and for delivery through Uber Eats but for just this weekend and in time for Valentine's Day, find them smashing patties from the big yellow food truck outside Mimico's beloved Cheese Boutique.
