With a name inspired by one of North America’s most prestigious thoroughfare’s, Parc Ave is set to impress. It’s a spot boasting bold design, dramatic cocktails and the type of intrigue we all crave as the sun sets.
Located above Yorkville's modish MIMI's Chinese, Parc Ave opens today, July 21. Though not affiliated, the new cocktail bar builds on the eatery’s cachet, inviting diners to keep the party going in the neighbourhood’s most sophisticated new space.
Fashioned by award-winning interior design firm Lisa Ho Studio, Parc Ave is sleek and decidedly sexy. Moody, thanks to dark, wood-panelled walls, the venue is divided into three areas: The Ruby Bar, The Jade Room and The Gold Onyx Bar. With room for 200, Parc Ave has intimate spots, alongside areas ideal for toasting life’s latest occasions with a small crowd. Throughout, jewel-toned velvet booths and banquettes beckon guests to lounge and linger over beverage manager Ben Kingstone’s captivating concoctions.
Ranging from barrel-aged cocktails and Parc Ave martinis to Champagne-based cocktails, juleps and sours, Kingstone's list has something for every taste. “From signature classics to trendy cocktails, we’ve developed recipes that are perfectly tailored for our guests and will be at the forefront of their experience,” said Kingstone, in a press release. Together, the team hopes to create a “coveted destination for guests to escape, mingle with the cultured and like-minded, and enjoy masterfully crafted cocktails from our talented cocktail artists,” he adds.
A menu of snack bites, including Parc Popcorn with fresh shaved truffles and house-made pretzels, will also be on offer.
Parc Ave is open Wednesday and Thursday from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. For more information, visit their website.
