Chef Ricky has worked in some of Toronto's most popular restaurants before deciding it was time to start up his own passion project -- Rikki Tikki. He is joined by a team of chefs who have frequently worked across India as well. Chef Ricky shared, "Rikki Tikki embodies our passion for the traditional flavours of India and our love for the vibrancy of its culture. As the rhyme in our name suggests -- Rikki Tikki is very playful by nature. From our branding to our menu, every element is full of energy, colour and spice".
Chef Ricky was always drawn to the welcoming nature of Kensington Market and its community. It’s an embodiment of what makes Toronto so special -- a melting pot of many tastes and perspectives, laments Chef Ricky. The team felt the market is always full of new ideas and voices, whether artistic or culinary. They think it is truly an honour to become a part of the fabric of this neighbourhood.
Rikki Tikki’s menu focuses on home-style Indian flavours with a North American twist. Chef Ricky’s creations consist of many go-to favourites and some new revelations. From quick on-the-go snacks to elaborate main courses, the menu is full of options whether you are on your way or here to stay. You can find different curries like Paneer Tikka Masala, Tandoori Chicken Wings, Aloo Tikki, Jaipur Masala Seafood Curry and way more!
Their soft opening was on February 18 and they are excited to welcome a new community. Their mission is to turn new customers into regulars -- one bite at a time. Find them at 209 Augusta Avenue.
