Cry Baby opened its doors on Dundas West in early December, adding to the growing number of cocktail bars in the neighbourhood. Tucked behind an art gallery and through a passageway, the prohibition-esque bar offers impressive cocktails and a low-key vibe. Cry Baby is open Tuesday to Saturday from 7 pm - 2 am.
This Thursday, February 13, Cry Baby is bringing you one step closer to Portugal with their exciting pop-up by LATA Fish. Starting at 7 pm, they will be offering a canned fish experience with their "fishcuterie boards".
Cry Baby Gallery also features Drink Tank events aimed to educate brands, industry members and consumer audiences on different kinds of spirit experiences. The first session was held on January 27, which celebrated the world of scotch. This month, the Drink Tank event is combining Valentine's Day and National Margarita Day to host "Agave Love" on February 24, providing tastings full of tequila, mezcal and agave. They invite you to "come explore the regions, taste the differences, learn about what sets them apart, and keeps them inextricably linked." Tickets are available for $30 and can be purchased here.
The current show at the gallery features paintings by Mony Zakhour. His exhibit will be closing on February 16, so be sure to catch it before the end of the week. Prior to Zakhour's exhibit, the gallery featured paintings by Toronto-based artist Dina Roudman.
