The well-regarded Toronto bakery is planning to open a new location near Yonge Street and St. Clair Avenue this spring.
Known for their organic sourdough bread and pastries made from scratch among many things, Prairie Boy Bread is in the process of opening a new space up in Midtown. The second location will offer a similar selection to its College Street counterpart, and will also feature spotlighted products that have been curated from local makers.
The move to Midtown will bring an influx of customers––owner Grant MacPherson told TRNTO, “As we get to know the neighbourhoods, we will do our best to adapt to their distinct needs."
Their original location is perched on College Street in the heart of Dufferin Grove. Operating as a family-run business, the popular neighbourhood bake shop is a staple to the vibrant storefronts in the west end.
Prairie Boy has done seasonal pop-ups in Muskoka in the past and has supplied to a number of restaurants and markets around the Toronto area.
Bread enthusiasts can get their hands on their 100 per cent organic artisan loaves at their College Street location before they open their new location. MacPherson says the midtown bakery is aiming to open its doors on the first day of April 2021.
