Popular Toronto burger joint opens new location

One of Toronto's newest burger joints, Slayer Burger, had opened last year to great acclaim. With their popularity on the rise, a second location was almost inevitable––and plans to open up in the Riverside neighbourhood came to fruition.

While, the first location was dubbed the 'Lemmy' location, this new one will be named after Jeff Hanneman, lead guitarist for Slayer. Slayer Burger has been immensely popular due to the creativity behind their menu, which features a variety of smashed burger creations, including the First Degree, which consists of a Wagyu patty, foie gras, and a charcoal sesame bun.

The soft opening will take place on Feb. 11; from 1 p.m to 7 p.m., they will be offering one free Slayer burger for anyone who is following them on Instagram [you'll need to be able to show them]. It's only one Slayer Burger per customer.

The second outpost is located at 739 Queen Street East. The grand opening for this new location will be Friday Feb. 12. Their hours are going to be from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. for takeout and delivery only, for the time being.
