One of Toronto’s most popular Nashville hot chicken spots has a brand new brick-and-mortar location.
Chen Chen's Nashville Hot Chicken has surged in popularity due to their spicy fried chicken sandwiches and tenders. After starting as a pop-up and working at several kitchens across the city, Chen Chen's finally opened its first brick-and-mortar location on Queen West. The restaurant moves into the space that once housed neighbourhood bar, Convenience.
Born in China and raised in Nashville, Tennessee, owner Chen Chen wanted to bring real authentic Nashville hot chicken to Toronto.. After operating out of the Loch and Quay in Harbourfront for the last year, he decided to jump at the opportunity for a new location that was solely his.
Chen Chen’s is most popular for their Nashville hot fried chicken sandwich, which is coated in spice and served in a warm brioche bun with slaw and pickles. They also do fried chicken tenders and mac and cheese, amongst other special items.
The new location soft-opened Friday, March 26, at 1184 Queen Street West. The grand opening will be occurring in the next several weeks, with promotions upcoming. They are still open throughout the week from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. but are closed Mondays. Order directly through their website or find them on Uber Eats and DoorDash.
