Popular Mexican taco restaurant opens new location

This taco spot in Toronto that, despite opening just this year, has already opened a second location.

El Sazon de la Tia Flor is most popular for their Taco Tuesdays (and Wednesdays) where the restaurant slings out tacos for just a dollar. Now, these buck-a-tacos have found a new home out near Eglinton Avenue West and Dufferin Street.

Similar to their original outpost, they're in a discreet plaza that houses a mecca for all things Mexican. The menu, as well as the decor, is influenced by their roots in Gaudalajara. Famous for their tacos, which includes chicken, beef, steak, carnitas, mushrooms and more, they are stuffed into thin corn tortillas and served with homemade sauce and onions. Though they're known for their tacos, they have a massive menu full of other Mexican classics.

You'll find a variety of dishes like enchiladas, tortas, nachos and even family platters as well. Family platters usually consist of massive amounts of protein like their popular carnitas, which are slow cooked with secret spices until fork tender. Everything is done in house and recipes stem from the two matriarchs who run the restaurant.

El Sazon de la Tia Flor's new spot is located at 1698 Eglinton Avenue West. Though no formal announcement has been made, they appear to be open for pickup and delivery through UberEats and hours are from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. If the lineups at their original location are any indication, it's probably best to go now before people find out about it.
