British Columbia's most popular Korean fried chicken chains is making its way to the Greater Toronto Area.
Chicko's Chicken, which currently has 14 locations across British Columbia, is opening their first location outside of Canada's west-coast province. The new Ontario location will be near the corner of Steeles Avenue and Bathurst Street.
This popular fast-casual chicken spot is known for their classic take on the popular fried chicken dish. Ingredients and recipes are imported from Korea, including the famous Korean beta-mix and marinade. The menu is small and simple, offering classics like the Crispy Fried Chicken that can be tossed in a variety of sauces like the Soy Garlic, Yangnyeom, Buldak, and Padak. Outside of chicken, they have "shake shake" fries and pickled radish.
Chicko's Chicken will be located at 9-398 Steeles Avenue West in Thornhill. They will be open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. This is just the first location and they will be looking to rapidly expand in the coming years.
