A popular ice cream parlour is opening a new location by High Park this weekend.
iHalo Krunch is known for being the first ice cream shop in Toronto to do charcoal ice cream cones and they’re expanding across the city. One of the first planned shops in this expansion is one in the High Park neighbourhood. Their grand opening will be this Saturday, May 15, to the public.
You may have seen their popular charcoal ice cream cones around the city. They’re all over Instagram, popular for to the dark matte black finish of both the ice cream and the cone. The ice cream is actually a subtle coconut flavour that is mixed with activated charcoal and is a unique treat to enjoy once the summer arrives.
This new location will be offering a few new additions to their original menu. They will be launching ice cream cakes and bubble teas with ice cream in it. You’ll also be able to order ice cream boba with flavours like strawberry milk, pandan, ube, matcha and the classic milk tea. Their ice cream cakes will be available for pre-order, or you can walk in to try to secure one with limited supply.
iHalo Krunch’s new location is located at 2114 Bloor Street West, just north of High Park. They will be open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. every day except Friday and Saturday, when they close at 11 p.m.
Lineups are typically long as the weather gets warmer, so expect a wait unless you go around opening time. They plan to expand across the GTA with locations set to open on the Danforth, Oshawa Centre, Markham, Scarborough, Mississauga and beyond. Be sure to keep your eyes peeled on their social for future openings.
