One of the best upscale Chinese restaurants in Toronto has just opened a new outpost at Yorkdale Mall.
Yu Seafood is already one of the best dim sum restaurants in Richmond Hill, despite having just opened in 2016. They received an invitation from Oxford Properties in Yorkdale Shopping Centre and decided to expand their operations. Their upscale, intimate and sophisticated atmosphere made them an obvious choice. The 10,000 restaurant has two floors, a tea boutique, wine bar, sashimi bar and a main dining area with two large private VIP rooms.
On the menu, you'll find classic dim sum dishes like har gow (shrimp dumplings), phoenix claws (chicken feet), and char siu baos (roasted pork buns). However, the menu offers a multitude of unique takes on classic dim sum items like Sea Urchin Siu Mai, King Crab Dumplings, Golden Lobster Rice Noodle Rolls and even plant-based pork dumplings as well.
They source everything from both local and international suppliers, with a comprehensive collection of old-world wine and new-world wines, premium spirits, champagnes, tea-Infused cocktails and traditional Chinese tea as well.
Yu Seafood's new location is located at 3401 Dufferin Street in Yorkdale Mall. They will be open from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily with dim sum service in the morning. They are now taking reservations through OpenTable, but based on their popularity in Richmond Hill, you can be sure that spots will fill up quickly.
