Eclectic and vibrant soul-food restaurant -- Patois -- known for creative fusion dishes is the newest addition to Toronto's delivery and takeout scene.
The restaurant announced on March 16 that they would be closing their doors due to COVID-19, but have since stated via Instagram that they are launching new takeout and delivery options.
Patois is offering heat n' serve care packages for takeout and delivery. The packages come in full or half size, priced at $149 or $85 and are comprised of Patois classic dishes. A whole jerk chicken, oxtail, Trini mac pie, beef patties, kimchi brussel sprouts and rum cake tiramisu are only a few of the many items on offer. The family-style meal comes fully cooked, chilled and ready to heat up in both the oven and microwave.
The restaurant is launching on Tock To Go, the newest member of delivery/takeout apps, but one that favours the profits of the restaurant over the service itself. Last week, Alo restaurant was the newest addition to the platform, as more and more fine-dining restaurants across North America sign up for the service.
As more Toronto restaurants became available for takeout and delivery, it is exciting to see one so beloved by the community, like Patois, try and adapt to the current restrictions restaurants are facing.
