New York City’s beloved Prince Street Pizza is making its way across the border with its first Canadian location opening in Toronto.
Also known as “Home of the Soho Square,” Prince Street’s pepperoni-heavy, Roman-style square pizzas are some of the most photographed square slices in New York. You’ll recognize one of their square slices immediately by their signature crispy, curled pepperoni and thick, charred crusts.
The first Prince Street Pizza was opened in 2012 in New York’s Nolita neighbourhood. The family-run shop has since taken off with a cross-country expansion, including new locations throughout California, plus another in Miami.
It’s always hard to say what makes a great pie, but at Prince Street, it’s all about quality ingredients. This includes homemade mozzarella cheese and sauces from passed-down Sicilian recipes, plus a generous topping of their famous crispy pepperoni slices.
For their first Canadian location, Prince Street Pizza will be joining a list of renowned chefs and globally inspired restaurants inside The Well, a massive residential and commercial development in the King West area.
Stretching along Spadina Ave. and Front St., The Well will be opening its shops and restaurants in the spring of 2023. Once open, be sure to pop by Prince Street Pizza for their signature pie, the Spicy Spring Slice, and make it “extra crispy,” too.
