New Taiwanese bubble tea shop is finally celebrating their Canadian grand opening with BOGO drinks

Bubble tea fanatics, rejoice!

Earlier this year, a famous Taiwanese bubble tea chain announced that they will be opening their first location in Canada. TP Tea, also known as Taiwan Professional Tea, was slated to open their first Canadian location at the end of March, however, at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, the bubble tea shop was forced to postpone their grand opening.

TP Tea is the subsidiary company of the famous Chun Shui Tang -- considered to be the first company to pioneer the use of tapioca pearls and popularize bubble tea as it is known today. This beloved tea shop is famous for their perfectly chewy and fresh house-made tapioca. The company prides itself on its use of fresh ingredients, premium tea leaves from Taiwan and 100% cane sugar to sweeten their handcrafted drinks.

“Today, Toronto is packed with commercial bubble tea shops in every corner. It’s time for Torontonians to get a taste of a real complex cup of tea, with all its nuances, layers and aromas," says the tea purveyor in a release.

Well after 3 long months, the day has finally come! To formally celebrate the grand opening of their first Canadian store, the gourmet bubble tea shop will be giving away a free regular sized drink with the purchase of any large drink!

The BOGO promotion is happening this weekend, July 4 and July 5 at 505 Highway 7 East at Commerce Gate, all day from 12:30 p.m.!
