A popular Toronto restaurant is expanding north of the city.
Mother Tongue, a stylish cocktail bar and restaurant located near the Entertainment District, announced that they will be opening a second location in the Blue Mountain Village. The announcement is very recent and there is not much information about this new location, but they promised to share more about the progress in the upcoming weeks.
The restaurant temporarily closed its doors back in November when the City of Toronto announced to extend the restrictions on indoor dining. On Instagram, they shared that they were going to use this time to work on improvements and new projects.
"We may be closed but we’ve stayed busy! We are so excited to share that we will be opening a second location in the Blue Mountain Village," they wrote on Instagram.
Blue Mountain Village, one of Ontario's most popular in-province excursions and tourist locations, is home to many specialty vendors and garners hoards of people throughout the year. The new Mother Tongue will be the perfect spot to retreat to with your loved ones after a day on the slopes, a relaxing session at the spa or for a fun evening out while on vacation.
The restaurant of Asian and North American influences will be bringing their concept of shared plates to the Blue Mountain Village, but don't worry, they reassured that Mother Tongue in Toronto will be back up as soon as the restrictions lift.
