Mother Cocktail Bar has a fresh and fun pop-up with cocktails to-go

Mother Cocktail Bar has created a barbeque-style pop-up that consists of hand-held eats and to-go cocktails for your weekend escapades.

Their philosophy is to "source quality natural ingredients, enhance them through fermentation and create memorable cocktails for our guests," and this is exactly what they have done with their to-go cocktails. Mother Cocktail Bar uses a bubble tea sealing machine to conveniently cover their cocktails in a plastic seal. This way, customers can grab a refreshing cocktail and head over to Trinity Bellwoods without worrying about their drink spilling. Additionally, they chose to incorporate ingredients inspired by summertime, such as flowers and berries into their drinks, and to add carbonation to make them more refreshing.

The four cocktails that they serve are the 'Trinity Spritz,' the 'Modified Rye & Dry,' the 'Kentucky Peach Tea Smash,' and 'Punch No.5.' The 'Trinity Spritz' has a base of el Jimador Tequila with Aperol, cayenne, lemon calm carbonated water, and fresh watermelon chunks. The 'Modified Rye & Dry' is Jack Daniel's Tennessee Rye with ginger & lemonade cordial, soda and orange slices. The 'Kentucky Peach Tea Smash' is made from Old Forester Bourbon, peach tea, and bitters with fresh fruit. Lastly, 'Punch No.5' consists of Jack Daniel's Tennessee Rye, violet & vetiver cordial, soda, tarragon and fresh berries.

If you are not a huge cocktail fan, they also have tallboys of Detour ISA from Muskoka Brewery, and 'The Original' Scottish Golden Beer from Innis & Gunn, which you can take to-go.

When it comes to their food options, each dish is perfect for a picnic in the park. The menu begins with the Elote, which is grilled corn covered in cotija cheese, drizzled in spicy aioli and topped with cilantro. It is fresh, smokey and crunchy, and pairs great with the Trinity Spritz.

The Tacos El Carnitas are served in a set of three. These beef short rib adobo tacos are topped with pickled salsa, Mother hot sauce, chilli aioli and cilantro.

Their signature 'Mother Burger' is a fan favourite from their normal sit-down menu. This mouthwatering ground chuck & brisket beef burger can be served as a single or a double and comes on brioche buns with aged cheddar. It is topped with truffle dill aioli, fermented ketchup, lettuce, Dijon mustard and caramelized onion.

On top of their unforgettable food and beverages, the atmosphere itself is a perfect representation of summertime in downtown Toronto. Since they are located right along Queen Street West, conversations are always arising as people frequently stop by to inquire about their unique setup. Additionally, the wood panels on the building and the Patron barrels placed around the sidewalk, add to the overall crude aewsthetics of the space. The barbeque is also set up outside, so you can watch your food be freshly prepared before your eyes.

With the recent news of patios opening in Ontario, they will be transitioning over to their new 'Dahlia' menu after this weekend. Dahlia is the national flower of Mexico and the new menu will be entirely Mexican inspired.

Mother Cocktail Bar is located at 874 Queen Street West and their hours this weekend are 6 pm to 2 am on Friday, 2 pm to 2 am on Saturday, and 2 pm to 11 pm on Sunday.
