To remedy the longing for a good night at the bar, Miller Lite is releasing a limited-edition lineup of candles titled ‘Bar Smells’, which aim to replicate the scent of our favourite drinking venues that have been taken from us as a result of the pandemic. Proceeds from the candle sales will go towards supporting the hospitality industry.
“We know Canadians are feeling nostalgic for their favourite bars right now so we wanted to create an experience that instantly transported them back,” said Joy Ghosh, senior brand director at Molson Coors. “We owe so many amazing memories to our local bars and this initiative is our way of saying thank you, and we can’t wait to be back.”
The lineup includes three different scents of varying drinking establishment aromas, distinctive of common elements that make that particular atmosphere feel in closer reach than it may seem.
The ‘Dive Bar’ candle, infused with the scent of musk, tobacco, pine and yeast, is meant to replicate your local watering hole that you and your friends occupy on any occasion. The beers are a little watery and the tables have some wood splinters, but it’s your favourite place in the world to hangout.
The ‘Game Day Bar’ candle, scented with salted peanuts, jalapeños and cracked leather, takes you back to the biggest game of your favourite team’s season. With playoffs right around the corner in multiple pro sports leagues, this would be a perfect candle to emulate that feeling at home.
As the seasons change and weather gets warmer, the ‘Beer Garden’ candle can help replicate the exciting buzz of an outdoor drinking establishment. Infused with notes of green moss, warm pretzels, cracked wood and tropical sunscreens, this candle can perfectly recreate the beer garden experience.
The Bar Smells candle lineup is available to pre-order on the Miller Lite website. Candles will be shipped at the end of April.
