Toronto's one-stop-shop for all things mango -- Mango Like Desserts, just released their new Mochi Waffle Brunch Set. Since brunch boxes from local Toronto restaurants have been a growing trend on social media lately, one can only assume that this new Mochi Waffle Brunch Set will be no different.
This colourful arrangement of sweets is packed with mini chocolate-centred mochi bites, shortbread buttercream macarons by Ida's Cookies and you guessed it -- mochi waffles with a variety of toppings.
A mango and mochi lovers' dream, this new set features rainbow mochi pieces throughout the kit, which are a soft Japanese glutinous rice cake snack known for its sticky and chewy texture.
The Mochi Waffle Brunch Set focuses on the concept of customizing and sharing these build-it-yourself mochi waffles by providing various toppings to complement them. You'll find toppings like mango purée, mixed berries purée, Nutella, maple syrup, candy sprinkles, gummy candies and piped whipped cream that tastes like mangoes. All the fun lies within personalizing your own sweet treat. If you're looking to capture the perfect mochi pull, be sure to heat up your waffles for 15 to 45 seconds before pulling them apart.
Inside the kit, you will also find an assortment of different coloured shortbread buttercream macarons. These are buttery and crumbly shortbread cookies with a sweet and delicate buttercream-filled centre, a specialty of Ida's Cookies.
While munching on waffles and cookies, if your eyes are only on the mochi, you can also enjoy a variety of small bite-sized mochi that holds a ball of chocolate in the centre, adding a nice crunch to the normally smooth texture of this treat.
Beginning as a special launch for Easter, the Mochi Waffle Brunch Set is now being offered at both the Scarborough and Kensington Market locations of Mango Like Desserts. Plus, exclusively for Mother's Day, you can find this set accompanied by add-ons like flowers to make it the perfect fun, hands-on and shareable treat.
