Maison Selby opens for takeout and delivery

Maison Selby, a French-inspired bistro housed in the 136-year-old Gooderham House, has just announced that they will be open for takeout starting this weekend.

Maison Selby

The newest addition to the O&B Hospitality group, the restaurant, which opened back in the spring of 2019, has received praise for its colourful and quirky decor, indulgent French comfort food and historic charm.

Maison Selby's basement speakeasy, Sous Sol.

Boasted as one of Toronto Life's Best New Restaurants 2020, the multi-floor space used to be ideal for business lunches, special occasions, appetizers on the patio and cocktails in the downstairs speakeasy (pre-shutdown).

Initially, following the closure of all non-essential businesses, Maison Selby ceased all operations and has only, just now, decided to offer takeout.

The restaurant had been delayed on opening for takeout as they were victim to four break-ins over the last two months.

Andrew Oliver, president of Oliver & Bonacini (O&B), told TRNTO that the looters managed to steal laptops, iPads and restaurant supplies.

Thankfully, there wasn't too much damage to the restaurant, so they are able to finally open for takeout this coming weekend.

Takeout is available Fridays and Saturdays from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Sundays, for brunch, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. For now, Maison Selby is only offering takeout but delivery options will be coming soon.

On the menu, you will find fresh tagliatelle with shaved truffle, beef tartare, French onion chuck burger, steak frites and a Sunday roast -- among other things. Beer and wine selections are also available to order.

If you want a more hands on experience, Maison Selby's Chef Kits help you to recreate your favourite French classics at home. Make French onion soup, truffle tagliatelle and coq au vin for two.

You can place your takeout order online on Maison Selby's website to get your French food fix.
