Many Torontonians may be familiar with Love Child Social House as a sprawling nightlife destination-meets-co-working space downtown, but like many others, they have recently made some changes to their offerings to adapt to the current climate. The spot has announced its upcoming opening of a summer patio and pizza concept, which is anticipated to be a hotspot for patio dining and socially distanced activities.
Officially opening on August 12, the space will include picnic tables and an entertainment space alongside a full bar, providing a beer garden-like vibe in the heart of the city. After pivoting their concept to incorporate this more casual dining space, they were faced with altering their vision even further to accommodate for construction on King Street, so what was originally an outdoor patio has now moved inside. Don't worry, though: the indoor beer garden will be as lively as they initially planned.
The entertainment space will be in full force to host live music, movie screenings and stand up comedy, all part of their ongoing summer series. The menu offers a collection of classic and simple pizzas with toppings like fresh mozzarella, pepperoni and wild mushrooms, alongside a caesar salad and garlic butter bites. As for libations, guests can sip on refreshing, citrus-infused cocktails, wine bottles, a few beers and even kits to create their own drinks like Moscow mules and mimosas. The entire menu will also be available for pick up through Ritual, or for delivery through DoorDash, Uber Eats and Skip the Dishes.
On opening day next Wednesday, they will be hosting a free pizza day for the first 100 guests to visit the restaurant, so make sure to get there early and snag a delicious pie. Their regular hours of operation will be Wednesday to Saturday from 5 p.m. to midnight, with reservations permitting parties of up to ten people. The space will still be available for private event bookings as well.
