Coffee Lunar is a minimal and thoughtful space that opened up back in February in Summerhill with high hopes for their new business and eager to start brewing for the neighbourhood. Of course, they didn't foresee everything that was coming our way, and COVID-19 left a major impact on their business -- for it is a whole other challenge to open a new business amidst a global pandemic.
Coffee Lunar prides itself on being about more than just coffee. Their space (albeit unable to sit down in for the foreseeable future) is airy, their baked goods are fresh and delightful, and they even sell additional products like house cold brew and tumblers.
Besides delicious caffeine fixes, they also serve fresh baked goods (one of which being their shortbread, which they provide to all customers free with a drink). Whether it's an earl grey scone or specialty pistachio matcha, a PB dark chocolate or a red velvet cookie, or one of their breakfast toasts, there's plenty to nibble on.
And in honour of the season, from now until Dec 31, you can even order one of their sweet holiday boxes for pick-up, which contains some of their signature items. Their small box is $50 and includes a custom-designed tumbler (perfect for keeping their flat whites toasty), two of their cookies, a drink voucher and a little message card. Their large box contains everything from the small box, in addition to their house-made cold brew concentrate.
So make sure to check them out Monday to Sunday, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at 920 Yonge St. #6 and be sure to order one of their gift sets by December 31.
