Local restaurant giving out free bowls of pho on Christmas Eve

The season of giving is upon us and one restaurant is taking it another step further by offering free food for the holidays as a sign of gratitude to the community. Toronto Pho, popular for their massive bowls of pho, is a growing local Vietnamese restaurant chain around Toronto. On December 24, all three of their locations will be offering free bowls of pho to the public with no purchase necessary.

Toronto Pho started this tradition last year because they believe no one should be left alone during the holidays without a meal. Everyone deserves a Christmas dinner, whether traditional or not. They're also doing it because the community support has been fantastic despite the pandemic's onset, and they felt they had to give back to that same community.

Last year, they served 600 free bowls of pho across all 3 locations. This year, they are anticipating to serve 1200 free bowls of pho to our local communities. Those hardest hit are front line staff workers from restaurants and bars, retailers and small business owners who were forced to close in 2020.

The event will take place on Christmas Eve starting at 11 a.m. and is open to everyone who shows up at the restaurant. The offer is for one takeout bowl of pho per customer while supplies last. They will be offering rare beef and well-done pho, as well as a vegetarian option. If you're looking for a free bowl, be sure to get there early.

To ensure the health and safety of customers, they’ll also be offering the promotion through the Ritual app. But if you want to go in person, expect a wait folks.
