TasteToronto is bringing you an exclusive offering just in time for Mother's Day. Treat mom and others who fill that role to a specially crafted dinner for two designed in collaboration with La Palma and the dearly missed Campagnolo.
Both beloved Italian restaurants, the latter of which closed in 2019, are brought to life by owner and culinary director Craig Harding and executed by executive chef Julian D'Ippolito. In collaboration with TasteToronto's virtual pop-up series Dabble, the team is offering a classic menu that combines La Palma's contemporary flare with Campagnolo's most desired dishes.
This offering is a delicious, reminiscent dinner for two that will take you back to warm sunny days on a Dundas West patio. This finish-at-home kit is easy to assemble and even prettier to look at.
It includes the coveted return of Campagnolo's signature spaghetti all'amatriciana––piled high and coated in tomato sauce, pieces of rich guanciale and topped with freshly-grated pecorino lupa.
This dinner for two is paired with their signature Mother's Day cocktail 'Mum's the Word', which is comprised of gin, cocchi rosa, cointreau, rhubarb shrub, butterfly pea tea and lemon. The meal begins with another Campagnolo classic––a buttery-soft local burrata cheese with roasted grapes on crispy garlic toast. This is followed by two servings of their spaghetti all'amatriciana and two spring caesar salads that come with pickled onions and a miso dressing. Finishing the meal is a decadent olive oil cake accompanied by crushed hazelnuts and lush frangelico cream.
This lovely meal kit comes partially prepped and will need some finishing touches before eating. The meal kit is built to last up to 48 hours in the fridge, so you can enjoy the meal on your own time this weekend.
Starting today, you can preorder this exclusive Mother's Day dinner through the Dabble website, and enjoy one of Toronto's most renowned dining experiences at home with your loved ones this weekend.
