If you've been missing the mouthwatering steaks from Jacobs & Co., fret no more, because the iconic high-end restaurant has finally re-opened their patio for dine-in service.
As part of the King Street Food Company, Jacobs & Co. Steakhouse has remained operational for takeout and delivery throughout the duration of the pandemic, selling rotating gourmet meal boxes for a delectable feast at home. Though restrictions eased for a couple of months in the Summer of 2020, they decided to pursue their well-received #JacobsAtHome ventures instead.
The exciting news of their re-opening was announced on June 15, when Jacobs & Co announced they will be officially be welcoming back guests for dine-in on their brand new patio, which they have built off their front entrance on Brant Street.
The patio menu will feature all the signature classics, like their Caesar Salad, which is prepared from scratch table-side with bacon, egg yolk, white anchovy and Grana Padano cheese, as well as their impressive chilled and warm seafood towers.
The main event remains their quality selection of steaks, which changes daily depending on what feels right in their aging locker. Pair one of these juicy, sizzling steaks with a side or two, like the Potato Gratin––layered potatoes with cheddar, gruyere, shallots and cream––the Sautéed Mushrooms with mixed mushrooms, butter and thyme, or the Duck Fat Fried Potatoes, prepared with sea salt and tarragon.
If steak isn't your thing, try the organic roasted chicken with birds from Gianone Farms, or the beautifully-plated European sea bass, with sauce vert and seared lemon. If you still have room after all that, satisfy your sweet tooth with a slice of their new Vanilla Cheesecake, with graham crackers, cherry compote and chocolate.
Jacobs & Co. Steakhouse is located at 12 Brant Street, just north of King Street West near Spadina Avenue.
